1. Parking 

Starting February 24, 2026, the new Calgary Parking system will be in place at MNP Community & Sport Centre. This update will better help manage parking as demand for health and recreation services continues to grow, while maintaining free parking options for our community. Our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone. 

What You Need to Know 

• Effective date: February 24, 2026 

• Free parking is still available within designated time limits: 

  • 3 hours free from 4:00 AM – 4:00 PM (Monday–Friday) 

  • 2 hours free from 4:00 PM – 4:00 AM (Monday–Friday) 

  • 2 hours free on weekends 

• Please communicate to your athletes to note the time they enter the parking lot, as shown on the electronic sign at the lot entrance. 

• If your athlete exceeds the free parking period, the athlete must register their parking before leaving at the Calgary Parking pay machines located inside the facility or outside the north entrance. Stay tuned for tutorials on how they register their vehicle. 

• Parking tickets or fees cannot be waived on-site. Any disputes must be directed to  Calgary Parking.  

• As a reminder, all coaches who work consistently more than two hours per week must register their vehicle in our MMS system prior to the go-live date of February 24. A separate email outlining the registration steps was sent in December. 

• For anyone who works or volunteers on a temporary or substitute basis and consistently works fewer than two hours per week, parking will be managed through our TMS system:

• These individuals may register their vehicles for Extended Parking at the Guest Services Desk. They will be required to present their ID, after which an MNP Centre team member will provide a Calgary Parking tablet to enter their name and license plate to complete the validation process.  

• Please ensure you provide Krista with a list of your temporary staff (first and last name) in advance so we can include in our TMS database. The Guest Services team will confirm that individuals are on the pre-approved list and your club has a booking before providing access to the tablet for registration.
